How can I know how long a translation will take?
As a general rule a translator can work with 2500 words a day. Conditions will also influence the delivery date of the text; whether it is a legal or very specialised document, if it needs to be dispatched by post etc. and may lengthen the process. The final delivery date established by the project manager however is guaranteed.
How do I send the documents for translation?
agp traducciones will adapt to the individual’s requirements. We will work accordingly depending on the type of translation and its format (electronic, written copy or original documents). If the text can be sent electronically; email is the simplest and quickest way to work, we will forward it accordingly to the most suitable translator available. For legal texts, the original document is necessary since it requires the official stamp and signature of a qualified translator. In this case the original and translated version will be returned by post or certified delivery. Original copies can also be forwarded to us by fax.
How do I know how much the translation of a document will cost?
Written translations are charged per word. Interpreting jobs are calculated per hour or days worked. A written page is generally about 300 words long, although this may vary if it includes tables or margins. Once we have received all necessary information regarding the document the project manager will provide an quote according to the number of words or hours necessary to complete the task at hand.
What is the difference between a legal and non-legal translation?
A legal translation works with legal documents and thus requires specific validation for presentation before any official organisations both in Spain and abroad. This is usually the case for academic titles, birth, marriage or death certificates, contracts, public documents etc. A legally certified document must be translated by a qualified translator registered with the Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores (lit. Ministry of Foreign Affairs). The translator in question will stamp and sign the document and certify all relevant information such as the languages, date and place realised. It is the work of linguistic notary.
How will I receive the translation?
Once a document has been accepted, a form of delivery will be agreed whether by hand, email, certified post or messenger service. We can deliver the written copy in paper and on CD according to the individual’s requirements and priorities.
How is payment made?
We accept payments in cash, bank transfer or cheque format.
What kind of electronic text formats can be used?

What kind of text is considered “technical”?
A text is considered technical when the translator requires specific terminology research; when the language used in the text is relevant to a particular field. It is often necessary in this case for the translator to communicate directly with the client for consultation or clarification regarding any terminological questions and thus ensure that a finished product is of the highest quality.
What is the level of confidence between the translator and the client?
All our translators are professionals with enormous experience in the field, and as such are very aware that information handled is often of a strategic or confidential nature and intrinsic to the client’s commercial development. There is therefore a signed confidentiality agreement prior to any work undertaken to ensure that any information or documentation submitted by the client remains totally confidential.
