Translation
The written communication in a second language having the same meaning as the written communication in the first language.
· Legal: texts that are legally certified for use in government administration and organisations, that have been translated by a Legal Translator registered with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs in the relevant languages.
· Technical: Texts specialised in a variety of fields, from instruction manuals to bidding documents.
· Commercial: generally texts used in commercial transactions, such as business letters, web sites etc.
· Revision: The correction of a translation and/or revision of any text.
Interpreting
The oral translation for parties operating in different languages.
· Simultaneous: Oral translation of communication as it is being spoken, and requiring the installation of specialised booths.
· Consecutive: Oral translation of a communication after speech, generally at conferences or with a smaller audience assisting.
· Accompanying: Linking oral translator participating continuously in a meeting or the spoken communication between a reduced number of participants.
